About Yvonne

Yvonne studied at The Acupuncture Academy in Royal Leamington Spa graduating with a distinction in the Honours equivalent degree-level Licentiate in Acupuncture (Lic. Ac), and additionally was 'highly commended' for her clinical work.

Her final year project on treating chronic tiredness during the menopause with acupuncture, was published in the Journal of the Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists.

In addition to her acupuncture practice, she also teaches and tutors students of traditional acupuncture at The Acupuncture Academy.

She is licensed with Birmingham City Council and fully insured.



From a personal viewpoint having received treatment herself by Chinese medicine, training to become a traditional acupuncturist was for Yvonne, the next logical step. She believes that nothing exists in isolation and that all parts of something are intimately interconnected, in much the same way as Chinese medicine views health.


Professional details

Yvonne continues to update and develop her knowledge and skills on a regular basis through studying with leading figures in the field of acupuncture and Chinese medicine, as well as via her membership of The British Acupuncture Council and their continuing professional development programme.

The British Acupuncture Council is the leading self-regulatory body for the practice of traditional acupuncture in the UK; your assurance that your practitioner has receiving training to the very highest level. Membership means Yvonne is bound by their Codes of Professional Conduct and Safe Practice. Additionally it also means Yvonne is able to display the Accredited Voluntary Register quality mark illustrating that acupuncturists on the BAcC's register meet the Professional Standards Authority's (PSA) robust standards.
